Now Kanyashree scholarship is also available for university girls. Kanya Shri is currently available only for girls studying in colleges and schools. The Chief Minister of West Bengal recently announced the ‘Kanyashri Programme’, which is available to candidates pursuing post-graduate degrees.

Mamata Banerjee, the humble Chief Minister of West Bengal, had announced two years ago that Kanyashri would start K3 even for girls who are currently pursuing post-graduate degrees from any university. This scholarship helps girls to pursue their studies at a higher level. Kanyashree Prakalappa was recognized nationally and internationally for his design governance qualities.

Candidates who have already applied under the K2 program are not eligible to register for the K3 program. To be eligible, candidates must have passed their undergraduate degree with at least 45% marks, and must be enrolled in any postgraduate program offered by any university.

Science and Arts candidates will get Rs 2500 per month each under Kanya Shri K3 while both Science and Arts candidates will get Rs 2000 per month. There is no age restriction in Kanyashree Prakalpa.
Kanyashree Program for candidates between 13 and 18 years of age. This K1 scholarship program provides Rs 750 per year to girls. The Kanyashree K2 program is for unmarried girls in college between the ages of 18 and 19 years, with a monthly salary of less than Rs 10,000. The K2 Scholarship is a one-time amount of Rs 25,000.

Online Application Method

Go to the official website: To register online, first go to the Application Portal. Click on ‘register for Kanyashree Prakalpa K3’ in the tab “DIRECTORATE OF PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTION” (DPI).
Verification of K2 ID: Choice Year, Kanyashree Id, Date, Mother and Father names, then choice Authentication of K2. It is not mandatory for this scholarship applicants.
Registration After a successful verification you can update the details on your application and click the apply button. The Application ID will be unique.
Fill out the application form: Login to your account (svmcm.wbhed.gov.in). Enter your applicant ID and password. Click on the “Edit Application, Edit Profile” option to update all your information and upload a scanned photo and signature. Update your account details .
Uploading Documents: Once you have uploaded the supporting documents (Admit Card, Marksheet of Madhyamik exam, Admit Card, Marksheet of last passed examination, Residence Certificate and Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, Voter Card) please upload the following document(s): Domicile Certification and Scanned Copy of Bank Passbook, 1st Page.
Upload: After a successful upload of the application, click on Submit Application in order to complete the application.
