PMSSS Scholarship Scheme 2024: The PMSSS Scholarship stands for Prime Minister Scholarship Special Program. Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh candidates can complete the PMSSS registration 2024 and 2025 through the official portal. To get benefits from this award, candidates may register for a professional program in AICTE colleges all over India. PMSSS Scholarship 2024: About
AICTE, the All India Council for Technical Education, has start a Special Scholarship Program for the Academic Year of 2024 and 2025. Candidates from Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh can also register for the PMSSS , which is a Prime Minister Special Scholarship Program. The program mission is to offer financial aid to eligible candidates for them to complete their undergraduate degree. PMSSS (Prime minister special scholarship program) is a program design to assist candidates from Jammu and Kashmir as well as Ladakh.

The purpose of this program is for the government to grant financial aid to candidates in need so they can pursue their undergraduate education. Candidates eligible for the program can register via AICTE.

PMSSS Scholarship 2024: Eligibility Criteria
- Residency: All candidates must be Ladakh and J&K residents.
- Qualifications: 12th grade completed at a JKBOSE accredited and CBSE approved school within these UTs.
- Income of the family: The income for a single family cannot exceed Rs 8 lakhs.
- Lateral Entry: Polytechnic graduates may be eligible for application to engineering program.
- Exclusions include candidates enrolled in a start university, using management quotes, getting financial assistance and working on a postgraduate degree, diploma, and certificate as well those whose income is above Rs 8 lakhs rupees.
PMSSS Scholarship 2024: Important Dates
- Online Registration: The portal will be closed at 5 PM on the 18th of June 2024.
- Document Validation: June 21, 2024 to July 24, 2024 (portal closing at 5:00 pm).
- Correction Windows: July 25 to 26 July 2024, (until 5:30 PM).
- Announcement of the Final Merit list : Monday, July 29, 2024 (5 PM).
- Choose: 22 July to 2 August 2024. (Portal closes at 5 PM).
- Seat allotment result (Round 1): August 9, 2024
- Confirmation: From August 9, 2024 to August 12, 2024.
- Seat Cancellation Deadline: August 13, 2024.
- Joining college: 20 August 2024

PMSSS Scholarship 2024: Selection Process
This is the selection process within the PMSSS Program:
Step 1: Document Registration and Verification
To verify that the uploaded documents are authentic, applicants must go to the close Facilitation Centre. This centre is run by the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
Documents that have been verified should be uploaded to the Facilitation Center portal and duly stamp.
Candidates should claim the report of document verification immediately after a successful verification.
Step 2: Choose Filling
Candidates who successfully complete the registration method at the Facilitation Centers and have verified their documentation will be able to access the select window.
The select filling window close on the last specified date. After that, no changes to the preference order will be allowed.
Step 3: The Merit List and Counseling
After the statement of results, an interim merit list derived from results for Class XII and Diploma will be available.
Counseling sessions are mandatory for candidates whose names appear in the provisional list of merit.
The online seat allocation method will take into consideration the merit of each candidate and any scholarship available.
Step 4: List of Eligible Institutions and Universities
The candidate will see a list of all the institutions and universities that are offering admissions. This is for select filling purposes.
Candidates who are eligible should choose a course from the list below.
Scholarships will not be provide to candidates who do not enrol at institutions listed on the AICTE Portal, with the exception of MBBS and BDS and allied medical courses or those without a supernumerary quota within Central and State government institutions.
Step 5: Reservation Policies
Scholarships are offered to candidates who meet the criteria for reservation set forth by J&K, Ladakh and the Union Territories (subject notifications to these UTs). This includes categories like SC and ST and Socially Economically and Backward Class (SEBC).
Reservations are broken down as follows:
- SC 8 %
- ST 10%
- SEBC (excluding SC and ST) 22% comprising
- Social castes and weak and underprivileged class (OCS): 4%
- Residents of Backward Areas (RBA): 10%
- Residents in areas adjacent to the International Border (IB) and Actual Line of Control (ALC) 4%
- Pahari Speaking People (4%).
- EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) 10%
