Pragati Scholarship 2024: How to Apply, Eligibility, and Deadline
AICTE has launched the Pragati Scholarship for 2024. AICTE offers the AICTE Pragati scholarship 2024 as a way to support female students studying technical subjects. With the AICTE Pragati Scholarship 2024, female students will be able to continue their studies without any financial worries. The program is beneficial to all Indian female students. Pragati provides support to girls pursuing a technical education via AICTE, All India Council for Technical Education. The education of women empowers them by providing knowledge, skill and confidence. Pragati provides financial aid to women of economically underprivileged sections. Every year, $50,000 is awarded to the successful candidates. With lateral entry, students in their first year can benefit from a payment that can be used for college costs, such as books, supplies, software, hardware, etc. and students in their second year can also receive a payment. In “Empowering Girls through Technical Training”, the goal is to allow young girls the chance of completing their education.
PRAGATI Scholarship Overview 2024
- Each year 4000 scholarships (2000 for degrees and 2000 for diplomas) will be given out.
- A candidate may be granted admission to a first year Degree/Diploma in an AICTE institution approved for that specific year using the Centralized Admittance process.
- Transferrable scholarships will be awarded in the case that there is no other eligible applicant for any program leading to a diploma or degree.
- Only two eligible girls can be registered per family. This is the limit for families with an annual income below eight lakhs. (In the case of married women, income from their husbands, parents, or other relatives is also taken into account).
- AICTE accredited colleges and universities will select the candidates meritoriously based on qualifications exams taken for respective Technical Degree/Diploma Courses
- Scholarship award: Up to 30,000 rupees in cash or actual cost, less 2000 rupees for each of the 10 months. Students who are eligible for tuition fee waivers/reimbursement will receive Rs. 30.000 for the purchase of books/equipment/software/laptop/desktop/vehicle/ fees paid for competitive examination applications.
- Reservations: 15 % for STs; 7.5% for SCs; and 27 % for OBCs.
Eligibility Criteria
- It is essential for the applicant to be a permanent resident of India.
- A technical diploma course must be studied by the student.
- A female student must apply.
- AICTE-approved institutions must admit applicants to full-time first-year diploma or degree programs.
- There must be a family income of less than INR 8,00,000 per year for the applicant
Selection Process
- Applicants will be selected based on their eligibility.
- Under the AICTE Pragati Scholarship 2024, only female students will be selected.
- Applicants must be pursuing their technical degree or diploma from an approved institution.
- Applicants whose family income exceeds INR 800000 will not be considered for the scholarship.
- Applicants must be in their first or second year of a degree or diploma program.

Required Documents
When filling out the PRAGATI Scholarship Application Form, the following documents must be uploaded:
- Mark Sheets Standard Xth and standard XIIth Grades
- The annual family income certificate must be in prescribed form for those who are not lower than the Tahsildar rank.
- The Directorate of Technical Education has issued an admission letter.
- The degree or diploma course.
- Certificate of Director, Principal or Head
- Reception for the tuition fee.
- AADHAR bank passbook containing the name of the student, his account number and IFSC code.
- SC/ST/OBC Caste Certificates.
- Card AADHAR
- Parents’ declaration that their children have provided accurate information and the amount of the scholarship will be returned if it is found that this was not the case.
Online application for AICTE Pragati Scholarship 2024
STEP 1:The AICTE Pragati Scholarship is open to all applicants who meet the eligibility criteria and fill out the application online.
STEP 2: Applicants must click on the option apply for scholarship on the homepage of the official website.(Student Login)
STEP 3: Click on the option register on the new page that appears on your desktop screen.(Registration Form)
STEP 4: It will appear on your desktop screen. You must check all the boxes on the terms and conditions page.
STEP 5: In the new page, the applicant must enter their mobile number, click on send OTP, and enter the OTP they received.
STEP 6: Once the applicant clicks on the option verify, the eKYC page will appear on your desktop. The applicant must complete the eKYC process.
STEP 7: Once the applicant has entered all the details, he or she can click on the option to save and register.
STEP 8: When you have successfully registered, navigate to the Apply for Scholarship option and click Login.
STEP 9: Complete the scholarship form, upload the required documents, and submit it
PRAGATI Rejection Reasons
PRAGATI scholarship applicants may face rejection. Here are a few of the reasons:
- The AICTE has not approved any non-technical course for the current academic session.
- The AICTE does not approve the University / Institute for the current academic period.
- A request with incorrect or incomplete information was submitted.
- Admission is available to dual degree students.
- Students can receive scholarships from other sources.
- Post-graduate students admitted into post-graduate programs.
