NSP Scholarship 2024–25: The last date for NSP Scholarships 2024-25 is August 31, 2024. NSP Scholarships are scholarships launched by the government for students from economically vulnerable sections who can’t afford their educational expenses. The government has launched the NSP scholarship to counter the increasing number of students who discontinue after completing secondary education. This scholarship will provide financial help to students.  It gives them a better future after completing the 12th grade.

Objectives

National Scholarship Online Portal’s (NSP) objectives are:

  • Assuring that scholarships are awarded to students on time
  • Offer a platform for the different scholarship programs that are administered both by the central and state governments
  • Setting up a database that is transparent for scholars
  • Avoiding duplicate processing
  • Standards and alignment of scholarship programs
  • Implementing direct benefit transfers for effective distribution of funds.

Eligibility Criteria

NSP Scholarship 2024-25 Eligibility Instructions

  • If you wish to apply for a new scholarship, you should select the scheme that best suits your needs. There are many different schemes available.
  • Scholarships for all students, including OBC SC ST, and PWD
  • You should read all the instructions to ensure that your family’s income is low.
  • This scholarship requires a minimum of 50%.
  • If you are a student with a disability, then apply for the disabilities scheme
  • You are a student of the Minority Scheme. If you are a minority, then apply for it.
  • You must mention the state scheme and your student percentage to be eligible for the CSS Scholarship in 2024.
  • If you belong to a tribal area, you may apply for tribal scheme
  • You can also apply to the Department of Social Justice if you belong to the SC or ST.
  • You can apply for the UGC scheme and the Aicte scholarship if you have a PG or technical diploma. If you are a woman studying an engineering diploma course and you have a technical diploma, you may also be eligible.
  • You can find your perfect scheme and apply for it. Scholarship money is also available.

How do I apply?

NSP Scholarship
  • Click on “new registration.”
  • The screen will display a new NSP Registration Form for 2024.
  • Choose the scheme for which you are eligible.
  • The candidates are required to provide their full name, birth date, phone number, email address, country of residence, category, and bank information.
  • Upload a PDF or JPEG copy of your bank passbook. Enter the captcha on the right.
  • To get an application number, click on Register to enter the required details in the National Scholarship Portal 2024-25
  • The candidate will then receive their NSP login credentials, such as the application number and password, via SMS on the registered mobile number.

Amount

NSP Scholarship Amount 2024-25 is different depending on the individual. The amount of scholarship depends on the applicant’s economic status, the class, and the ministry that the student is eligible to apply to. For postgraduate students, it is Rs 15,000 a month over 10 months of the year. This amount will be provided for two years. Pre-matric students or those in the 6th-10th grades will receive Rs 350 per month and Rs 500 as an annual tuition fee.

Required Documents

Documents required by each NSP may differ. Some of the most important documents you need to keep in order to submit a winning application are:

  • Transcripts of academic work, such as mark sheets and transcripts
  • Aadhar card
  • Bank passbook
  • Certificate of Domicile (if applicable).
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable).
  • Certificate of Income (if applicable).
  • Certificate of school/institution (as appropriate)

State scheme

The NSP portal lists all the scholarship programs offered by the various state governments. The scholarships include both state and centrally sponsored scholarships. The centrally sponsored scholarships are provided by the federal government, but are implemented by various states/UTs. State-sponsored programs are also offered by their respective state governments. Assam and Arunachal Pradesh are the key states that host scholarships through the NSP. Other important states/UTs include Goa, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir.

Check the application status.

  • Visit the NSP site.
  • Select the application year and select whether it is a new request or if you have previously applied.
  • Please enter your Application ID.
  • Please click ‘Submit.’
  • Your application status will be displayed on the site

Check the payment status

  • Visit the NSP site.
  • You can enter your NSP application ID or bank account name.
  • Click on search.
  • Your scholarship will be shown on the site if it has already been paid or is being processed.

Selection Process

The number of NSP scholarships for minorities is limited and fixed each year, so it’s necessary to give preference in selection. The applicant must submit an income certification as specified in para-11(ii). If the applicant has the same income as another, the merit will be determined by the ‘Date of Birth’ of that individual.

Renewal cases do not generate a merit list. The renewal applicant is eligible for the scholarship if you have attained 50% or more in the previous examinations and if your applications are approved and verified by the state Governments/UTs and all the authorities designated by the Ministry of Minority Affairs.
