Overview of IGNOU’s MLIS

1. In order to register for the July academic session, you will be required to submit your application by 14 August 2024.
2. Students interested in applying for admission to MLIS can visit the university’s Official Website in and pay a registration fee of INR 300.
3. There is a one year duration for the master level course.
4. Applicant must have graduate with a minimum of 50% mark from any recognize university. 
5. In addition, there is no entrance examination for the MLIS program at IGNOU. Admission will on the basis of merit.
6. IGNOU Official Website will announce the June Term end exam result after the examination.
7. A total of 11,300 INR is charge for the IGNOU MLIS course per year.
8. There is a registration fee of INR 300 for the IGNOU MLIS course.
9. Distance learn courses are flexible and can be take by candidate with busy schedule, and this course can also be complete at their own pace for an additional 1 year.

IGNOU MLIS Admission

The last date for IGNOU MLIS admission for the July 2024 academic session is 14 August 2024 and candidate must register through the university official website. To be consider for admission, you must hold a Bachelor degree in Library and Detail Science from a recognize system. The university doesn’t administer entrance exam for MLIS admission, which is only base on merit.

In two academic session, January and July, Indira Gandhi National Open University offer a Master of Library and Detail Science program.
